I find many of my colleges who feel reluctant for choosing the wrong subject for their career. I have encountered tremendous such people whose degree is something else and their nature of work is far from their subject. Today, Unemployment is the root cause for brain drain and also for depression for many people, People keep on saying our country lacks opportunities so is lacking behind for fulfilling the dream of young graduates and for that reason many people are considering their career in foreign land. I personally have worked for more than a decade in Nepal and I felt very happy and blessed to be working for my country and for my people. I believe that name, frame and everything is here in our land itself but many do not agree in my words and rather encounter me with many queries and ask me not to make such mindset considering limited such lucky person who are working for this country and are happy. This is why today, I am forwarding this piece to all the people, I want every student to read it once and change their perception for their country. I do consider the fact that education system in Nepal is the main reason for this situation where young graduates were not equipped properly with proper skills which would have helped them to explore and make the difference instead we had tremendous graduates with flying degree but due to lack of direction and skills, they become the victim of depression in short span and they starts to make the perception that getting job is very tough, we need to have strong network for the same and so on. Societal pressure and parents concern drag them for depression and this is where our such gems commence to deviate. Now, the real queries are “Really, Nepal scar such opportunities? Is the condition of our country so harsh that such gem can’t work in Nepal? “ . If you ask me, I want to make a strong comment in this that No, actual land of opportunity is our country Nepal where many fields are yet to explored, where all the fields need enhancement, where all field have equal potential and the only thing that is lacking is the skill that we possess.

Many people used to consider SLC as iron gate and used to make a statement that if you cross it with flying colors you gone rock the future but actually, your decision of considering your further studies after Plus two is the real golden gate for you, if you make the right decision, actually you would rock the future and would be the most satisfied person. If your interest matches, obviously your neuron would work in such a way that your performance would be amplified. Now, comes the third point and that is scope of the subject, this matters a lot. Being developing country and naturally blessed country, we can have tremendous opportunities in engineering, tourism and management sectors. If you have real geal you might commence as entrepreneurs after your graduation because your interest would help to find you at least one potential area to work on where you can explore. The fourth thing that you need to do it to talk to Experts of the field before making your decision for selecting the subject, this aid you to explore more about the subjects i.e its challenges and opportunities, go find some experts of your interested subject that you are planning for, talk to them, get their suggestion and make your time table as per their advice during your bachelor’s days and see what wonder can happen.
